Özet: The work aims at evaluating university teachers’ preparedness to adopt distance learning technologies in their classes. The results of an empirical study of students’ motivation in choosing a distance learning form in Perm National Research Polytechnic University (Russia) are given. The study carried out also embraced the issues of using educational, methodic and test resources by teachers and guidelines of professional training improvement for the specialists engaged in distance learning.
