Özet: Many different methodologies for the development of Web-based systems and applications were proposed in the last few decades. Trends from the model-driven paradigm have become popular in this discipline; however, these efforts are relatively academic and not well established in practice. This research focuses on model-driven development and its techniques to improve the flexibility of the development process in Web engineering and support its automatization. In this paper the authors make a comprehensive analysis of related work and analyze their pros and cons. A novel, two-way meta-modeling approach to Web Modeling and a methodology of its usage is described, which tries to address the lessons learned from other methodologies while supporting a practical usage of the proposed concept.
