Özet: To increase the efficiency of Information Retrieval Systems, researchers have developed methods to express knowledge in formal language in order to allow computer programs to use this information at the semantic level.In this paper, we discuss different approaches employed by a knowledge engineer to translate knowledge from natural language to ontology.In order to make the transfer knowledge from textual data to formal language easier, we develop a tool that deals with a Latent Semantic Analysis to retrieve correlated terms in a collection of textual documents, and also apply DRT (Discourse Representation Theory) technique to get semantic links between terms. This tool produces a representation of information in Description Logics.
