Özet: An efficient antenna selection algorithm is proposed for the amplify-and-forward (AF) two-way multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) relay system. The proposed algorithm involves choosing the best transmit and receive antennas at the two sources based on the maximization of the overall sum rate. The key design criterion is to reduce transmit and receive radio frequency (RF) chains. The first step of this algorithm is a random selection of transmit and receive antennas at the two sources. In the second step the selection would be modified to be a comparison of the SNRs of a randomly chosen antennas with a predefined threshold. If the SNRs of the selected antennas are higher than the predefined threshold, these antennas will be chosen for data exchange between the two sources. Else another random selection is used for the best single transmit and receive antennas at the two nodes. The performance of the proposed algorithm is compared with max SNR algorithm as optimal strategy to maximize the sum-rate. The proposed random selection algorithm (RSA) represent a trade off between max sum-rate, complexity and energy consumption of the system since our strategy is based on minimizing the number of active RF chains. The performance of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by numerical results.
