Özet: The protein folding problem is an important problem in bioinformatics. In this paper we present a new modeling for protein structure prediction, composed by autonomous agents which collaborate in order to find a solution using Distributed Constraint Optimization Problem (DisCOP). Each amino acid of an input protein is viewed as an autonomous agent that communicates with others by transmitting messages. A DisCOP includes a set of variables, each variable is assigned to an agent who has control of its value, and agents must coordinate their choice of values so that a global objective function is optimized. We provide another working example in open-source NetLogo for implementation and simulation of the protein structure prediction using distributed constraints.
