Özet: Different initiatives have been put into practice by the Universitat Politècnica de València in order to help students be better prepared for a globalised labour market in which both the mastery of ICT and the use of English are essential for communication. An example of this is the Online Teaching Project, which was initially aimed at encouraging teachers to design reusable, high-quality multimedia resources to be shared through online platforms such as RiuNet, Politube and OCW. The project’s initial goal was successfully achieved and its participants were therefore ready to face bigger challenges, namely encouraging students to become part of the materials development process by means of a project of digital storytelling.
