Özet: We present an art educational pilot project conducted by two Finnish universities. The students chose a student work made in general schools from the History Archive of Art Education web material. To comment on it, they created a photograph. Both works were displayed on a Second Life island. The students’ avatars interpreted the works at the exhibition opening. The data showed that the project enhanced students’ awareness of new media and gave them deeper meaning for art making. We also found suggestions for developing the project.
