Özet: The article describes the application of Fourier transformation to calculate the accuracy of Digital Terrain Model (DTM). The aim is to establish such a sampling interval to ensure compliance by the required accuracy in the reconstruction of a function that represents the DMT. It is derived relationship of dependence of harmonic functions in the development of Fourier error limit on the size of the reconstruction. Then, a formula for calculating the optimal size of the sample interval follows. The proposed method is validated on a randomly selected profiles in the DMT in ArcInfosystem. Typical use of the proposed procedure is in geographic information systems.
