Özet: Targeting an optimizing compiler for a new architecture is time consuming even for retargetable compilers, as they should exploit the performance potential of the new processor by adding target specific optimizations. Our paper presents techniques to reuse high-level compiler optimizations at the low-level, in a retargetable compiler based on the instruction semantics extracted from the target model. The presented technique increases the retargetable compiler performance, together with its software quality and maintainability, by producing a better code while raising the percent of code reusage in the final compiler solution.
