Özet: The elevator traffic types of up-peak, down-peak and inter-floor traffics are the mostly seen traffic types in the buildings. Type of the traffic directly affects the average waiting and transfer times which are indicators of the service quality, and it also has a vital importance in next stop-floor problems. Therefore, it becomes important to analyze also the traffic types of the elevators. Studies show that the up-peak traffic type is the worst type of traffic. In this study, a simulator that is capable of measuring service quality of elevators in a building is developed to analyze the up-peak traffic and other cases. Using this simulator, simulations are carried out for up-peak, down-peak and inter-floor traffic types for the same building and the same time period. Comparisons and analyses are performed on the results of the simulations. The results obtained verify the studies done previously: it is found that the up-peak traffic is the worst type of traffic in terms of service quality and especially waiting times.
