Özet: This paper investigates how the electric arc of the 3-phase electric arc furnace operates in order to be analysed the magnitude of the current harmonics of the electric arc, the voltage harmonics of the electric arc and the voltage harmonics at the point of common coupling. In order to obtain the current harmonics and the voltage harmonics, models of the electric arc will be used. These models will be implemented in Simulink and by simulation, the static voltage-current characteristic of the electric arc will be obtained. Also, using Fourier transform, the current harmonics and the voltage harmonics were obtained. In this paper, the total harmonic distortion for all the models will be presented.
