Özet: To perceive surroundings and collect information is provided by other healthy senses apart from visual senses for visually impaired people. One of these senses is auditory. Auditory senses are crucial for those people to lead a social life. However, it is not always possible to find devices that provide audible signals and those works should be increased. The mobile applications, which make our lives easier in many fields, can be used efficiently for visually impaired people as well. In this study, a mobile product recognition system with 2nd barcode reader and a Turkish speech synthesizer in iPhone 4 is developed. It is aimed for visually impaired people to do shopping.
