Özet: This study aims to examine the design of the Computer-Assisted Educational (CAE) Environment prepared in accordance with the teaching method based on constructivism in the matter of the “Electricity in Our Life” module. The effects of this CAE Environment were investigated in primary education. An experimental study was carried out on a total of sixty 8th grade students (thirty students in 8-G - Control Group (CG), and thirty students in 8-L - Experimental Group (EG)) who were enrolled in 23 Nisan Primary Schools in Samsun City centre during the 2011-2012 academic year. Based on the Science and Technology Teaching program prepared by the Ministry of Education, an attempt was made to teach CG students the objectives of the unit in a traditional teaching environment, and the EG students using CAE material. Pre-test and post-test was carried out both in CG and EG, and the results were analyzed using t-test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference between the two groups in being able to fulfill the objectives of the “Electricity in Our Life” unit in the Science and Technology Course. The results ruled in favor of the experimental group with which CAE method was employed.
