Özet: As a post-communist transition country and a candidate for accession to the European Union, the Republic of Albania considers Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as one of the main development areas for the future. In order to contribute to the harmonization and sustainability of ICT strategy development and execution process, this study covers the topic of cloud computing within the perspective of Albania’s economic prosperity. We propose a new approach to cloud computing by developing an algorithm for agent-based modelling of the business ecosystem. This approach can highlight the possible scenarios for the ICT business emergence and effect of cloud computing in the case of Albania. Finally, we provide necessary guidelines for employing this model to increase the depth and width of cutting-edge ICT implementation such as cloud computing in all possible areas which promote significant growth of Albanian economy.
