Özet: The article describes the study of prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Italy in the field of information technologies. To achieve the goal the author has investigated the development of information technology in Kazakhstan and Italy, has analyzed Kazakhstan republican projects in the field of information technologies and UN reports on the level of ICT growth in two countries. The main direction of development of IT sector in Kazakhstan is support and development of so called “e-government”, which allows receiving state services online, thus minimizing bureaucratic procedures. According to the annual UN report on the development of information technologies, Italy is among the countries which significantly increased their level of ICT development in the last several years, which makes it an especially attractive information technologies partner for Kazakhstan. At the same time, Italy can use Kazakhstan's experience of adopting these and other technologies for its own ICT development practices.
