Özet: Form, which is obtained at the end of design process, is created with the experience of the designer and decisions taken in line with the information clusters which define design problem. Formation methods, which shaped by the decisions of the designer, can be classified as “Holistic” and “Algorithmic” in architectural design process. Transformation in computer and information technology like any other tranformations in different scientific domain has a great effect on architectural design education. Students benefits of these technologies in both devolopments of design idea and in formation of design. It was aimed int this study to compare “Holistic” and “Algorithmic” approaches used at computer aided design environment and to determine which one is more suitable for this environment. Both approaches were discovered as successful in generating new, different, and derivable designs. As a result, it was found out that both methods must be used at computer environment consecutively in generating and transforming formats.
