Özet: Currently web applications can be considered as vertebrae for many organizations. All large commercial companies and organizations have very demanding e-commerce web sites. It evolves over time, so whenever there is a change; to ensure components stability and correctness, regression testing needs to be carried out. The aim of regression testing is to make sure that modifications do not negatively affect the original behavior of the program and bug fixes. A large number of researchers have worked in the area of web applications regression testing. Many types of web application validation methodologies in web application regression testing have been proposed. i.e. user session based testing and slicing based testing etc. This paper performs comparative evaluation of the user session and slicing based approaches and identifies effectiveness and performance indicators of two approaches that are used in regression testing for web application and check that when these two techniques are being used in cooperatively; they would provide an optimized performance or not and can enhance the results as well.
