Özet: Observed phenomena in high-energy physics are well described by the Standard Model. However, this theory is incomplete and some hints of new physics are expected to be seen at the TeV scale. Such manifestations are currently being actively looked for at the CERN's Large Hadron Collider. Among the numerous theories that have been proposed to extend the Standard Model, some models rely on the existence of a fourth generation of fermions. The heavy partners of the top and bottom quarks could be observed through their decays into a rare and characteristic signature of two leptons with identical charge. The analysis we present consists in a reinterpretation of results published by the ATLAS experiment about a search for Supersymmetry with a similar signature, in proton-proton collisions at energy of 8 TeV. We compute the expected event yields for a fourth generation sequential model SM4, using the Pythia Monte-Carlo generator. We translate the absence of observed signal into limits on the possible masses of the top and bottom heavy partners, using ROOT software statistical tools.
