Özet: Computer science influences architecture in different ways, mainly in the process of designing. A new concept has been recently introduced in architecture, named Genetic Algorithms (GAs) and it represents a computational technique based on the principles of evolution. This paper aims to investigate the applicability of GAs in Architecture and especially in the process of designing for children. During the creative process in architecture, in order to create a simple house, it is necessary to take into consideration lots of factors especially in the case of complex projects. In the growing process of a child there are hundreds of things that influence the future adult, and it is important to take all this factors into account. This paper raises the hypothesis of simplifying this process by means of Genetic Algorithms. The GAs are seen as a way of optimizing the combinations of determinant elements in the process of designing, like light, materiality, height, etc.
