Özet: In the actual Science education, virtual experiments represent feasible instruments that help students to experience and understand real-life situations, especially when analyzing complex phenomena or processes, but also potential dangerous contexts. Virtual experiments help the teacher to a significant extent, being designed on a constructivist base, using the student-centred learning approach. In this sense, students are able to discover, explore, analyze and find solutions, by experimenting. In fact, they develop their own knowledge, with the help of ICT, which supports the teaching-learning process.This paper illustrates the results of two case studies developed in the frame of the European LLP KA3-ICT project, entitled “Nano-Tech Science Education - NTSE” (http://ntse-nanotech.eu/), which aim to exploit ICTs as an instrument that support the learning of Science in an attractive and accessible way. The first study - designed for the 9th grade students - discussed the theme of Nan obiomimicry and adopted a strategy represented by the format of exchanging of ideas and arguments, in order to take the best decision concerning the importance of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in the actual world. The second one - ellaborated for the 8th grade students - analyzed the allotropes of carbon, and proposed activities that involved direct exchanges of ideas and experience, but also performed of an investigative approach. Both studies used virtual experiments in specific lesson moments, called from the “Virtual Lab” - the main output of the “Nano-Tech” project.
