Özet: The sharing of information and knowledge is currently considered as an essential element within all types of organizations. Although it is beneficial, it usually belongs to omitted issues within business processes. Based on the literature review, a framework is developed to enable better understanding of information and knowledge sharing within various organizations. Therefore, the paper identifies both the specific areas of emphasis of sharing possibilities and key knowledge activities. Relevant aspects and advantages and disadvantages of sharing possibilities are described in more details. In addition, ways of communication and cooperation are discussed and influential factors are mentioned. The framework could also be an initial point for further research of practical usage of sharing possibilities in specific settings. The paper concludes with a discussion of emerging issues, new research directions and practical implications of sharing of information, knowledge and other resources. The discussed and revealed issues can enhance the organizational effectiveness, efficiency and the extent of innovation as well. Furthermore, the potential obstacles might be eliminated or avoided.
