Özet: Dear Readers, We have reached the end of 2009. I wish year 2010 will bring you all happiness, health and success. The year 2009 has been the year for the development of the Cypriot Journal of Educational Sciences. Starting from May 2009, we started to publish quarterly as the journal has been rapidly increasing in popularity. During the year 2009 we have published 15 articles. During the year 2010, we are planning to increase this number to 25 while maintaining the philosophy to publish high quality research articles. In 2009, scholars from more than 20 different countries participated in the blind review process of our journal. The authors contributing to our journal came to us from various parts of the world. Beyond the geographic realm, they also reflected diversity in discipline and method. The average amount of accepted articles reached to 36.2 percent, which is an indicator of scientific approach in how careful and determined we are in our mission. Our aim is to decrease this amount to a lower rate with the aim of publishing the recent and unique scholarly articles in the field. Academics who have participated from continents of Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa are sharing the happiness of their papers being published in the Cypriot Journal of Educational Sciences in 2009. Therefore, this proves that the publishing of our journal is at an international level. Cypriot Journal of Educational Sciences was recently selected for inclusion in EbscoHost, Scopus, and Ulrich indexes. It is also under the evaluation process of many international indexes. We hope we will be indexed and abstracted in other databases as well. Lastly, I wish to acknowledge the ongoing support that the reviewers and the editorial board has made to the review process, in addition to scholars from around the world. I also would like to thank out technical and publishing team, who have been generous with their time and expertise. Together with this, I wish for 2010 to bring the scientific researchers all around the world more success and quality in the researchers. Best regards
