Özet: This research aims to determine the manner of school principals regarding knowledge management in primary school education. The research is a subjective one conducted in general scanning method. Personal information form and five-likert scale are the main means in which data was collected. During the data collection stage, school principals were requested to provide information about the way in which they obtain, share, process, evaluate knowledge, take decision and analyze problems within the scope of knowledge management. In the virtue of the data acquired, the research shows that; the school principals obtain knowledge by attending meetings with teachers, making personal observation, their personal experience and online resources. Regarding the sharing of knowledge, the research shows the principals always share knowledge with their assistant principals and teachers; in using of knowledge, decision making and analyzing problems research also shows that principals take decisions in co-operation with assistant principals and teachers. Last but not least, research shows that in storing the knowledge principals mainly use computers and traditional filing techniques. Seminars should be organized periodically by specialists with respect to acquiring, sharing, using and also filling knowledge following decision-making in order for school administrators to keep abreast of the latest developments in knowledge management.
