Özet: The purpose of this study is to determine the dialogue activity in and student, teacher and researcher views about a science lesson adopting a project-based learning approach. This study was carried out at Akpınar Sehit Vahit Elmas Elementary School in the spring term of the 2008-2009 academic-year and featured 6th grade students. Out of 19 6th graders, six volunteered to be the subjects of a case study and the research was undertaken during science lessons, when the students were studying “matter and heat”. Data was collected from interviews, observations and artifacts and the results indicated that the students enjoyed the activities implemented as a result of the project and they found such activities different to anything they had done before.
