Özet: This study analyzed the experience of homesickness among college freshmen from a state college in the Philippines. Four-hundred sixteen college freshmen were asked to respond to the homesickness domain of the College Adjustment Test. To determine significant differences in homesickness between males and females, those living in dormitories within the campus and boarding houses located outside the campus, and younger and older college freshmen; independent samples t-test was employed. It was revealed that males and females significantly differed in their experience of homesickness and with mean scores as basis, females scored higher. In contrast, no significant difference was established in the experience of homesickness between college freshmen living in dormitories within the campus and those living in boarding houses outside the campus. With reference to younger and older college freshmen, a significant difference was established in the experience of homesickness, younger college freshmen registered higher mean scores.
