Özet: In the agricultural production, widely used method against disease and harmful factors is chemical control method. The achievement of chemical control is dependent sufficiently on transportation of pesticide active ingredient to thetarget and deposition on the target surface. Spray units having different design properties are developed for improvingspray application performance. At the present, the most preferred spray units are hydraulic nozzles used on conventionalsprayers. But when the operational parameters like spray height, spray pressure, travel speed on spraying areinappropriate, application performances of spray nozzles are decreased. These cases cause to decrease biologicalactivities, increase pesticide losses and environment pollution. Spray application performance is under the influence ofinternal and external factors. Internal factors have controllable or changeable properties and compromise constructive andoperational properties of spray units. External factors are uncontrollable properties and include meteorological conditionsand vegetable properties. Spray application is more difficult and complex, because the interactions between theseproperties are important. Therefore, spray application technique must be investigated extensively. In this study, somefactors effecting spray application performance of hydraulic nozzles are compiled in the light of the literature.
