Özet: Unlike animals, plants are sessile organisms and cannot move away from detrimental environmental conditions. Therefore, plants greatlydepend on high sensitivity detection and adaptation mechanisms to different environmental conditions. To understand how plants recognizeand transduce stress signals and regulate gene expression to different changes in environmental conditions is very important to realize tolerancemechanisms in plants. Plants perceive the stresses in different ways, such as by plasma membrane located receptors, intracellular proteins orcytoskeleton-associated proteins. Signaling pathways utilize a complex network. Detection of an environmental signal is transmitted through signalcascades, and changes in transcription factor activity may organize changes in the gene expression eventually resulting in metabolic alteration andaltered physiological responses. To elucidate how signal transduction pathways induced by various stresses is essential to improve plant toleranceto different stresses. Illuminating of these processes will offer a strong basis to secure sustainable agriculture and environment under changingclimatic conditions.
