Özet: The animal protein is important for the balanced and adequate nutrition of the population, cheaper and accessible. Therefore, whenTurkey’s geographical structure and large pastures is examinate, for high-quality livestock and low-cost is seen as having significant potential.Especially sheep breeding is the cheapest animal arm in Turkey. But, the number of sheep with 40.4 million heads in 1991 in Turkey droppedto 31.0 million heads in 2014. Domestic demand for meat and this situation leads to foreign exchange losses. In this study have aimed to putforward whose activities with animal breeding, feeding, maintanence, the production of fodder, animal health of 39 sheep producers in theÇamardı town of Nigde city. This study integer method was used sample selection. The resulting data is presented as calculated frequency andratios and It has reviewed the help of observations made in the field of research. Existing pastures in the study area, Although large in area, Itseems to be insufficient in quality. Therefore, In order to meet their needs during the winter months, farmers growed forage crops. The mostwidely grown forage crops are barley, wheat, oats and corn. Livestock which is usually the case with ancestral methods and it is seen that lowuse of technology. Therefore explicitly identified the needs of the city, for provide training as on demand is rather important.
