Özet: The texts of classical Turkish literature are treasures that contain much valuable information belonging to our ancient culture and history, besides their literary identities. As these texts meet with today's readers, some ambiguous issues about the classical period are also clarified. For instance, thanks to new studies, it was necessary to add some information to the biography of the mighty Dîvân poet Nâbî. The present biographies do not contain significant information on the influence of Diyarbakir and the poets there in the education of Nâbî and the evolution of his poetic style. However, it is understood that Nâbî, who visited Diyarbakir periodically in his youth, gained serious experiences in this city about language music and poetry. In this study, Nabi's relationship with Diyarbakir will be touched on the basis of some new data. Then, the meaning of the poem will be reevaluated with the help of proofreading of the concept of “amed?” (= Âmid) in the publication of Divan.
