Özet: As human is a social being, they needs a social life. Religion is one of the most important determinants of social life that human needs. Islam reveals an internal structure with the principles of faith and the main principles of morality. The Turks adopted the religion of Islam of their own volition and will, because it suits to with the belief in one God and the moral order they had. In the book of Dede Korkut, it is possible to follow detailed information about the religion of Islam as well as the old Turkish belief system. The Turkistan / Turkmen Sahara Copy has remarkable content in this sense. The aim of the study was to reveal how the Islamic elements contained in the copy look in the context of the relationship between religion and society. In this respect, the Turkistan/Turkmen Sahara copy has been interpreted within the framework of the principles of faith, worship and morality found in the basic structure of religion. At this stage, based on the idea that the book of Dede Korkut is a whole, examples of other narratives were utilized. Investigations based on the Islamic elements contained in the copy revealed the social interpretation of the transition process to Islam.
