Özet: Mehmet Rauf's novel Halâs (1929), which is the subject of the study, is about the resistance of the Turkish people against the invasions during the Armistice period and the National Struggle. In the fiction of the work, it develops in parallel with the events experienced by Nihat, the main character of the novel. The occupation of Izmir and Istanbul, the realization of the Erzurum and Sivas Congresses, the establishment of the regular army, the liberation of the cities of Urfa, Maraş and Antep from the enemy occupation, the acceptance of the Treaty of Sevres by the Istanbul Government and the establishment of a new government in Ankara, is located chronological order. Mehmet Rauf has narrated the story of resistance and liberation in Anatolia through the character of Nihat.
