Özet: Human Resources are the most important component of organizations. In a global world where competition is increasing day by day, effective and efficient employees provide significant advantages to organizations. Therefore, expectations of employees have to be satisfied by organizations. Rewards are one of the important means which are used to meet the needs and expectations of employees. The main goal of the rewarding systems is to attract the right people right on time, to retain and to motivate them. Organizational commitment plays an important and indispensible role in the developing business world in order to achieve the organizational goals. Organizational commitment is the result outcome satisfaction of employees’ demand and needs. Organizational commitment is an important instrument for producing quality goods and services as well as reducing employee turnover. In this study; the notions of rewarding, reward management and organizational commitment have been defined; the relationship between rewarding and organizational commitment has been examined. In the last part analysis and findings which have been gained by the questionnaire, that has been implemented on the employees who work in the five star hotels of Istanbul, in order to measure the effect of rewarding on organizational commitment have been displayed
