Özet: One of the models developed for the measurement and evaluation of tourism destinations competitiveness is Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index Model TCI which was developed by World Economic Forum WEF for the first time in 2007 and last updated in 2015. In this index study, four main groups, fourteen sub-groups and eighty four indicators and correspondingly 141 country's tourism competitiveness analysis and sequencing was performed. While destinastions’ measurement of competitiveness was studied in TCI, the main factor values and TCI value are calculated by taking the unweighted average of the relevant factor values. Whereas weight of each factor may not be equal when calculating the total score using the scores of factors in destination competitiveness model. In the study, tourism competitiveness factors are weighted by using weighting method called entropy. Thus, weight level of distinguishing factors which can create a competitive advantage for destinations will be determined and prioritization can be done.
