Özet: The purpose of this study is to introduce the functional significance of postage stamps in Turkey and analyzing the content of postage stamps published in Turkey. In the study, postage stamps published between 1990 and 2016 were analyzed by content analysis. The web page of the Post and Telegraph Organization in Turkish abbreviation, PTT was visited and data were obtained in May and June 2016. As a result of the obtained data, it was determined that 1421 postal stamps were published in the respective months. The themes that were published on the postage stamps published between these dates were classified under 20 main headings and the results obtained were subjected to frequency analysis. As a result of the examinations, the most used themes in postage stamps published by PTT are; important dates such as anniversaries and celebrations 17.10% , Turkish culture and art 12.10% , historical buildings and artifacts 10.49% and national/international organizations and sports organizations 10.14% . On the other hand, within the scope of the study, it has been determined that postal stamps on tourism, which is published by PTT, are one of the least used themes
