Özet: The theory of constraints is a control method for enterprises and a process improvement mechanism. Capacity constraint, a type of constraint that arise in the system of constraints theory, is one of the most important concepts of this theory. Literature review was conducted in order to better comprehend and analyze the usage areas of the theory and the results obtained from its applications. The theory is briefly described focusing on the capacity contraint. Capacity utilization, which constitutes the roof of the implemented applications, is explained in relation to capacity types. The mathematical formula of how the constrained contribution is calculated in practice is shown and the application is formed within the framework of this formula. A case was examined in this study and important data were obtained as a result of this case study. The study showed that, the implementation of the capacity constraint has increased business sales and this increased the business profit together with the decision made in product selection.
