Özet: Construction sector has been considered to be an engine of the economy because it creates employment opportunities in the process of economic growth. In this context, short and long run interrelations between construction sector and GDP, industry, agriculture and service sectors were analyzed by using quarterly data for the period of 2005-2016. In this study, co-integration relations were found between construction sector and GDP, service and industry sector by using the ARDL model. In addition, the long run statistically significant effect of construction on both GDP and industry sector was determined. However, it was found that the long-run effect was smaller than the short-run effect. In the study, the causal relationships between construction sector and GDP, service, agriculture and industry sectors were investigated by using Toda-Yamamoto causality test. According to causality tests, there existed a one-way causality from GDP, industry and service sectors to construction sector. There is no any causal relationship between construction sector and agriculture sector
