Özet: It is known that Alevis encountered different problems within historical period. In the period of Justice and Development Party governments from 2002 until today, initiative policies towards Alevis and their reflections formed the focus of this study. The datas of the study were collected with semi structured interview and a questionnaire applied in a sampling formed by volunteers and members of Alevi non-governmental organizations in İzmir. According to findings obtained by as a result of applied questionnaires to 534 participants and interviews with 22 people; identifications and criticisms of participants towards initiative were obtained. Among the subjects that Alevis primarily want to be in initiative are; Cem houses become sanctuary, cancelling of obligatory education of religion and ethics lessons, demanding apology or making inquiry about tragic events experienced in the past. Obtained findings show that expectations of Alevi society and Alevi non-governmental organizations were compansated partially however all demands were not received an answer
