Özet: Research Paper In recent years, the phenomenon of increasing poverty together with globalization has become one of the most prominent problems both economically and socially. Together with the developed and developing countries, many countries experience this problem and try to develop solutions for the problem. One of the most important tools currently used fighting against poverty in the world is considered as micro-credit or micro-finance with broader scope. Looking at its historical development, micro-credit or micro-fimance has become one of the means to increase surplus value or to re-establish the conditions of capital accumulation. Micro-credit represents the financialization of poverty by transforming poverty into a financial problem and creating new credit relationships in the transfer of surplus value created by lenders to the financial system. The primary objective of financialization is the inclusion of those who are not in the financial system, especially the poor, even the poorest. In this context; the structure discussed in this study is; capitalism, mechanism; capital accumulation mechanism, actor; the poor, even the woman and the poor woman and the process is the financialization of poverty which is closely related to the process of capital accumulation. The prominent institution in this process is the private ownership. Capitalist relations of ownership manifest themselves this time between the capitalist and the poor. While capital accumulation is an imperative for the capitalist and especially with the financialization of poverty process and new tools such as micro-credit or micro finance have been acquired, the main objectives of micro finance applications are increasing the capitalist’s accumulation and sustained growth of capital; rather than reducing poverty, increasing prosperity, empowering women and achieving sustainable development
