Özet: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a heterogeneous neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. Genetic, social and physical factors are thought to be influential in the etiology of ADHD. In this review, we focus on diseases with high comorbidities with ADHD, study results on genetic factors in the etiology of ADHD, and the relationship between genetic factors and comorbidities. The challenges of the results on genetical factors could be related with the heterogeneity of the disorder, the effects of epigenetic changes caused by genetic and environmental factors, and the statistical limitations of the studies. In order to overcome these limitations, it is clear that the larger studies should address genetic and environmental factors at the same time.
