Özet: This study seeks to explore the relationships between loneliness in the workplace and burnout of the hotel employees’.  The population of the study is formed,   hotel employees working in the hotel business in Balıkesir city center. Since the population is of accessible size, the full enumerication sample technique was used by accessing the whole population of the study. To collect data for the study, the survey technique was used. The questionnaire work was designed in three parts: the first part contains questions about demographic, the second part contains the loneliness in the workplace scale and also in the third burnout scale. The questionnaire form was administered to the 143 employees. Study results showed that participants had moderate loneliness and burnout high levels and there was a moderate positive correlation between loneliness and burnout. It has been determined that the loneliness in the workplace increase the level of employees’ burnout. Obtained results showed that the loneliness predicted 31,2% of emotional exhaustion, 24,6% depersonalization and 12,6% personal accomplishment and also, social loneliness has the most impact on overall the burnout sub-dimensions.
