Özet: Today's changing economic conditions and intense competitive environment compel businesses to use their resources in the most effective way. The purpose of this study is to measure the effectiveness of insurance companies listed on Borsa Istanbul (BIST) in 2018 by Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). For this purpose, efficiency of 7 enterprises was measured with output oriented CCR model of DEA method. As a result of the study, 5 enterprises were found effective and Super Efficiency application was made in order to see the efficiency ranking among the enterprises that were found effective. In addition, the potential improvement rates related to input and output variables were determined by determining the enterprises that should be taken as reference for the inactive enterprises to become effective.
