Özet: Social, cultural, economic and technological developments in recent years have leaded to major changes in the structure of the society. These changes affect the quality of life of individuals negatively by bringing along rapid population growth, migration and unplanned urbanization. Young people are affected most by the change process. In this respect, it is sociologically important to identify the problems that arise during the youth phase depending on the changing living conditions. The aim of this study is to create a profile study to explain the current position of young people living in Bandırma, and at the same time to evaluate the life quality and future expectations of the youth in terms of cultural, social and spatial components. The research population consists of young people between the ages of 18-24 who live in Bandırma. In this study, a survey was conducted with 620 young people between November 2018 and February 2019 within the scope of random sampling method. The data obtained from the questionnaires were analyzed in SPSS 21 program. According to the results of the surveys, the youth are generally satisfied with life and living in Bandırma. At the same time, it was determined that job opportunities in the region they live are limited and educational, cultural, social and sports activities are not sufficient.
