Özet: Adolescence is a stage marked by the search for identity and the need to experiment with the unknown, one of them, in certain cases, is the use of psychoactive substances, an aspect that generates difficulties in various spheres of life for adolescent drug users and adolescents. its context. Therefore, this article aims to determine the interpersonal relationships in adolescents who consume psychoactive substances in the 9 de Julio neighborhood of the Olmedo-Manabí canton, Ecuador. The research that was developed is of a quantitative approach, descriptive, used as theoretical methods analysis-synthesis, induction deduction, the tests used for the study were the drug abuse detection test (DAST-10) and the evaluation questionnaire of interpersonal (CERI), instruments applied to 30 adolescent residents of the neighborhood who met the determined inclusion criteria. Among the results, it is highlighted that these adolescents consume more than one psychoactive substance of which 90% cannot stop consuming, they also have difficulties when it comes to relating to others, as well as non-compliance with social norms prevents them from making commitments and having little control over their emotions causing a domino effect in the psychological spheres and structures of the individual.
