Özet: The present study observed the discourses created by the dominant groups against resistance during the civil-military dictatorship and post-dictatorship period (1990-1994) in Chile, focusing on the specific case of the city of Osorno. Methodologically, the study analyzed the official documents/discourses and the media, especially the press, which were used in order to realize a cognitive manipulation. From the results, it was managed to identify, how these discourses were installed in society and how discourses created during the civil-military dictatorship evolved and were subsequently used by the hegemonic groups and the Chilean state during the post-dictatorship period.
