Özet: The article aims to review the current status of plurinational project of state refounding in the context of the governments of Evo Morales in Bolivia. As an plurinational political project we interpret a proposal emanating from indigenous organizations as a result of the native people movement activity in Bolivia which took shape in the Constituent Assembly under the figure of the Plurinational State. Is Plurinational that guarantees the self-determination of the native nations. Is the State of Bolivia plurinational as stated in the new Constitution or it is more a multicultural and multiethnic nation state? We will analyze the official discourse as the specific policies of the Evo Morales government (2006-2016) in order to reveal the current situation of the indigenous proposal, taking into account a long historical debate on the construction of the nation state in Bolivia.
