Özet: This paper examines the concept of Luis Villoro on the community and the State. It realizes two ways of seeing it: as liberal State and as a plural State, and the latter becomes his proposal to overcome the exclusive and undemocratic nature of the approach of liberalism, which is based on a concept that privileges the individual, from a perspective consistent with the interests of capitalism in general and at its current stage of neo-liberal globalization. In addition, follows the reasoning of Villoro who is carrying out this type of plural State on the experience developed by the Zapatista communities in some regions of Chiapas. We present this analysis from some authors that reflect from anthropology on the concept of community and State and, also, in the light of the indigenous movement in Latin America.
