Özet: The control of the sciences, knowledge and intellectual diffusion plays a fundamental role with the imperialist economic domination, apprehending an intersubjectivity in the process of domination that develops in the academic milieu through the fragmentation of knowledge and the abandonment of the historical-dialectical perspective. On the subject, we draw a dialogue with the Brazilian economist Nildo Ouriques, which indicates the root of the problem of Eurocentric development of social theory in Brazil: the abolition of “programmatic reflection on underdevelopment and dependence”, establishing the mismatch between university production and national reality. They are theses spread by the Marxist theory of dependence and, at the same time, by the decolonial authors, perspectives that insist on the Indo-American revolutionary potential and the refusal of the dominant Eurocentrism in the sphere of knowledge / power. Finally, we bring to the debate the contributions of the “decolonial gyro” movement and the need for Latin American thought to advance in the struggle for the intellectual progress of the masses, the subaltern classes.
