Özet: The aim of this text is to open a dialogue, so far little explored, between cultural and decolonial studies, on the one hand; and the Baroque derivations of Marx’s critical discourse, on the other. This is to show how certain discursive currents of cultural studies and decoloniality tend to substantialize and relativize their understanding of modernity in force; reaching the point of transmuting a specific ethos in an alternative version of modernity.
