Özet: This essay attempts to present some essential arguments recovered from the Critique of Political Economy of Marx and Engels that make visible the true causes of the demographic increase in contemporary capitalism. It is evident that the current population growth does not respond to a universal natural dynamic but to a specific f orm o f human r eproduction s ocially produced by the c apitalist mode o f production.
