Özet: Based on the ethnographic context of the Nahuas of Pahuatlán de la Sierra Norte in the state of Puebla, Mexico, certain methodological challenges are posed, especially the use of some concepts in dialogue with Marxist criticism, in order to clarify anthropology dispossession of territories due to the privatization of common goods and the implementation of megaprojects. Centered in the dispute over water, we can see the contradiction between two logics, one that seeks to reify everything and another that privileges a use value of ritual and cosmological character.
